accountability blogging

Accountability Blogging?

Maybe what I should do is just create a timeline on the blog.

The number one reason why I want this is to keep myself accountable and if I can do that, I reckon I can hit my goals and even surpass them by mid-2019.

This is what I’m thinking:

  • outline a schedule that I plan to follow
  • then I’ll update it with screenshots of what I’m actually doing throughout the day so it keeps me on track and accountable.

I know life sometimes gets in the way, but if I do my best to stick to the schedule I plan. I know things will look completely different in 6 months.

I’m sure you know yourself, as people we can just fuck off at times. Sometimes for no good reason at all.

It’s easy to get distracted and not get the work done in this day and age. But the bottom line is, doing the work is everything!

I’m going to try to keep this going till the end of the year, which on Tuesday just gone was 17 weeks away. If I can keep it going for the next 17 weeks, I know for an absolute fact I can get on the road and driving a taxi here in Dublin by the end of the year. I also know that if I can do that it will give me the funds to really pursue my passion and other life goals that I have set for myself.

After being away in Canada for 3 years, and then coming back and working in another job just so I could move out and live with my girlfriend, at the age of 32, I still by no means have it all figured out.

Does anyone really have it figured out? I don’t know, I don’t, but look, that’s life, and I’m working towards something right now and that’s all that matters.

At the beginning of the year, I also spent 3 months in California with my girlfriend. We were trying to build a business out there. Neither of us really fell in love with the place or the business and now that we’re back and know we aren’t going anywhere for at least a year, I need something that will give me funds to live comfortably and pursue my passion on the side.

Becoming a taxi driver in Dublin does exactly that. Not something I want to do for the rest of my life, but if I want to be able to follow my passion, and if this is the way that can happen (cause I gotta live along the way)… let’s get going!!

I probably publish the schedule tomorrow and the screenshots and daily accountability posts will follow.

Day 1

This morning the plan was to get up at 5:45 am. I woke at 5:11 am fully energised and got straight out of bed with no questions asked.

Powerfull Alan Thorp :)…

Didn’t need any messing this morning and none happened. Got straight to it and now I’m sitting here writing this note before I start my Taxi study.

I have SMART goals set for the next 17 weeks of this year that will help me progress further in my life and lead me in a direction that can only benefit me as my life rolls on.

Today is the start of a huge push in the right direction.

Momentum is a powerful thing and I intend to use it to my advantage from this moment on.

Grateful for all the beautiful things in my life.

– My family
– My woman
– My friends
